Ojai Valley Foursquare Church completed 1984:<\/p>\n

\"The<\/a>
The study model I built of the final design for approval by the Ojai Valley Foursquare Church congregation and leadership in 1982–the construction took place from Summer of 1983 until the Spring of 1984, but the official dedication did not take place until 1986, even though it was being used–a couple of years after completion and occupancy this 10,000 square foot, million dollar project was paid off–SEE FURTHER BELOW.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

Additions to Help of Ojai Senior Center “Little House” next to the Ojai City Hall, completed 1990:\"Front<\/a><\/p>\n

Front and Back Additions to the “Little House” Help of Ojai Senior Center next to the ojai City Hall–a semi-Pro-Bono effort working closely with their Building Committee–Ed paulson, Help of Ojai president at the time, Marlene Spencer, Executive Director at the time, and J. Wesley Kent, full-time volunteer, in honor of whom the rear Meeting Hall was named.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Ojai Raptor Center, completed 2011:\"Just<\/a><\/p>\n

Just completed Eagle Flight Rehabilitation Aviary in which recovering Golden and Blad Eagles can learn to make both right hand and left hand turns in the giant 100 foot x 100 foot “Ell” shaped structure–at the March 10, 2010, Ojai Raptor Center Open House.<\/p>\n

\"Edison<\/a>
Edison put up some money for this worthwhile project because many Birds of Prey get electrocuted.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Ojai Retreat Remodeling 2005 to 2010 at 160 Besant Road:\"Aerial<\/a><\/p>\n

Aerial View of five buildings totalling about 6000 square feet on five acres that comprise the Ojai Retreat that was extensively remodeled 2005-2008 with a new wheelchair accessible public restroom in the Main Building and three new seepage pits added in 2010 when the CUP was renewed for another ten years.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"Jim<\/a>
Jim Felix Electrical did the installation of a whole new Electrical Meter Panel and Load Center coming from an Edison pole at the west end of the Ojai Retreat Property–trenching by Larry Harrold–this panel for Cottages C and D relieved the load on the main 400 Amp Service served by Edison coming from the east end of the property.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"The<\/a>
The complex Distribution box for the Common Leach Line field for Cottages C and D at the west end of the Ojai Retreat–Larry Harrold did the trenching and installation for the complete system.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"The<\/a>
The two new tanks and three new pumps were installed by Coast Pump, led by Bill Hughes–a tricky operation lifting the tanks through the trees.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"Part<\/a>
Part of the remodeling of the Ojai Retreat was the $70,000 upgrading of the water system at the top of a hill with new state-of-the-art tanks and pumps and fire reserve hydrant and line.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"Damon<\/a>
Damon Webb Construction did a masterful job on the remodeling of Cottage C and the Main Building under the watchful eye of Jon Dieges, the Architect for the remodeling program.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Top of the new Main Switchboard relpacing the 1940’s era electrical panel–Powerbright Electric led by Luis Munoz did the installation\/upgrade.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Bottom half of the new 400 amp Load Center behind the office in Cottage A.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\"Three<\/a>
Three new seepage pits were added in 2010 to assure the CUP Renewal–Larry Abel Construction was the contractor who used Terra Firma Drilling as their subcontractor for drilling the deep pits themselves.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\"Challenging<\/a>
Challenging installation in 2010 of a 2000 gallon septic tank to serve the Main Conference Builing and rooms and new pulic restroom, as well as Cottage B with two guest rooms.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

RAINS Department Store Downtown Ojai, completed 2002:\"Two<\/a><\/p>\n

Two Story 1250 square foot addition to the north side of RAINS Department Store consisting of a second floor office and first foor expanded Men’s Department, a wheel chair accessible entry and criss-crossing covered sidewalks. and new fire sprinklers through out the existing store.<\/p>\n

Libbey Park Ticket Office and Kitchen, completed 1990:\"Libbey<\/a><\/p>\n

Libbey Park Multipurpose Building (mostly the ticket office and press room for the Annual June Ojai Music Festival and the April Ojai Tennis Tuournament)–the client was the City of Ojai Public Works Department.<\/p>\n

Medical Office Building at 115 Pirie Road and Maricopa Highway, completed 1993:\"A<\/a><\/p>\n

A 9000 square foot Medical Office Building at 115 Pirie Road and Maricopa Highway built in1993 within budget–client was an investment group of doctors and friends a couple of whom lease office space in the building to this day .<\/p>\n

\"Looking<\/a>
Looking Southwest towards rear of the Medical Building that is separated into two Ells. Gerry Peterson was the Construction Manager\/ General Contractor.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Five Unit Aartment Complex at Oak and Lions Streets, completed 1988:\"A<\/a><\/p>\n

A five unit Apartment Building at the Northwest Corner of Oak and Lion Streets in central Ojai–the original design was for natural wood siding and green roof shingles but the project was sold and the new owners insisted on white trim, blue siding , and blue roofing shingles–not the traditional “craftsman” style look but the Ojai City Planning Commission accepted the final color scheme.<\/p>\n

Ojai Valley Foursquare Church at Cuyama and Church Roads, completed 1985:\"The<\/a><\/p>\n

The 10,000 square foot Ojai Valley Foursquare Church that featured a Main Sanctuary, Prayer Tower, Social Hall with commercial grade Kitchen, and a Classroom Wing and Central Courtyard–Treasurer Leonard Dollar and I ran the construction as de facto General Contractors (my GC license # is 437536—currently on “inactive” status).<\/p>\n

I am still searching for the orginal photo of the model because this scan was badly pixelated at 75 dpi in 2003–I printed it out and rescanned at a higher resolution \u00a0but that did not help so this will have to do for now.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Double J Market, Now Meiners Oaks ACE Hardware, completed 1981:\"The<\/a><\/p>\n

The 13,000 square foot Double J Market completed in 1981, Larry Loughman General Contractor, with Williams Refrigeration, Tony DeMaria Electric, Braker Plumbing, MacPherson Plastering and Stucco, and Tempco HVAC as the principal sub-contractors (the GC did the concrete and framing)–years later was sold to Meiners Oaks ACE Hardware which occupies it still to this day.<\/p>\n

This was the 1\/8″ scale model I made out of illustration board to help the clients, Jim and Charlotte Gresham, and the various Ventura County agencies, see what they were gettiing.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A Village Mixed Use zone project–I took over the project from an unlicensed drafter since commercial work requires a licensed architect, not to mention the engineering design requiring a licensed architect (or professional or \u00a0structural engineer).<\/p>\n

New Wheelchair Accessible restrooms for Bocalli’s Restaurant Reeves Road and Highway 150, completed\u00a02004:\"Wheelchair<\/a><\/p>\n

Wheelchair accessible new restrooms for Boccali’s restaurant Reeves Road and Highway 150 East Ojai Valley–Steve Lowry Construction was the General Contractor with Jeff Wells Plumbing the principal sub-contractor.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Wood Frame Replacement of a Fire Demolished Metal Store Building at Pierpont Boulevard and Seward Avenue,Ventura, completed 2004:\"Rebuild<\/a><\/p>\n

Rebuild in place of a fire damaged metal building at Seward and Pierpont Boulevard in Ventura–the second smallest commercial job I have ever done (Churchill Orchards Restroom was the smallest ever).<\/p>\n

Carriage House in Central Ventura off South Laurel and on Poinsettia Place, completed 2014:\"A<\/a><\/p>\n

A 646 Square Foot “Carriage House” that replaced a delapidated existing one in Central Ventura under construction as of October 26, 2014, by Damon Webb Construction.<\/p>\n

\"A<\/a>
A 3-unit Low Cost Housing Apartment Complex in Fillmore that came through unscathed in the 1994 Northridge Earthquake, which damaged several older homes on rock rubble foundations in Fillmore.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
