865 Square Foot Residence in a three-foot deep Flood Zone in the East End of the Ojai Valley, to be completed 2014:\"An<\/a><\/p>\n

An 865 Square Foot Residence in a three foot deep Flood Zone that required the House itself to be elevated four feet above the “Highest Original Adjacent Grade” and the Garage to have “Flood Openings” to allow a raging torrent to flow through the Garage with minimal damage–under Construction October 2014.<\/address>\n

Hot Springs Road, Montecito, California, \u00a01979 Additions to Existing Spanish\/Moorish Style Home:\"A<\/a><\/p>\n

A huge addition to an existing Spanish-Moorish style Mansion on Hot Springs Road, Montecito, California, featuring a forty foot high tower, a basement recreation room, a south-facing solarium, a two story rare manuscript library, and a third story parent’s bedroom, bath and study.<\/address>\n

Sulphur Mountain Road Upper Ojai Residence started 1982 and eventually bought and enlarged to 27,000 square feet by Larry and Maj Hagman:\"I<\/a><\/p>\n

I was the orginal Architect on 9950 Sulphur Mountain Road project several owner’s later became Larry and Maj Hagman’s “Peace of Heaven.”<\/p>\n

This was the 1\/8″ equals one foot scale Model I made out of illustration board to help my\u00a0clients visualize what they were getting and to show it off to prospective buyers of the project before completion.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Another hillside residence in 1989-90 requiring extensive grading, retaining walls, and a fifty foot setback from the centerline of \u00a0a potentially active earthquake fault running diagonally across the lot just on the other side of the house (50′ away, that is)–since it was built the Building Code was changed in 2013 to require a cross-ventilated one-inch air space above the insulation batts to prevent rot due to a vicious cycle of condensation at the apex of cathedral ceilings; however, the County of Ventura has not yet allowed \u00a0eave vents in High Fire Hazard Areas (such as where this house is) while surrounding jurisdictions such as San Diego County, the City of Santa Paula, and Santa Barbara City and County all allow “Brandguard type” eave vents that prevent the entrance of buring embers into eave and other vents; O’Hagen low profle dormer vents can also be used in place of eave vents in Ventura County in the High Fire Hazard Areas..<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
